The growth of community relies on providing services that allow citizens the opportunity to live a productive life. In a global world, families that move to our area decide where they are going to live and raise their family based on services such as education, health care, housing and arts and recreation. Having a facility like this will certainly be attractive for a young family moving to our area. This facility will impact future generations by supporting existing programs and the opportunity to introduce new recreational programs.

TED DEWEYERT

Residents are so excited about the creation of an indoor walking track. I foresee this being an excellent venue for rehab and exercise purposes. The growing pickle ball group is excited about having the opportunity for multiple courts. The opportunity to be a locale for multiple indoor sports for adult and youth programs is terrific. One of the unforeseen benefits, is that parents who have multiple children, who choose to participate in warm and cold sports, can have one stop.

MARGARET JOHNSON

[The NCRC would provide] a facility that can accommodate guest trainers for specialized training and provide the opportunity to host events such as Firefighter competitions. When complete, this facility will allow many organizations to host large scale events, thus promoting our town.

[A building like this] offers kids who get involved a sense of purpose growing up, even more essential in rural communities where the opportunities for social activity (outside of online) are just more limited. It allows the youth to get out of their houses/bedrooms, to be active and also to learn how to build important relationships, to work as a team, to develop work ethic, as well as the opportunity to feel supported, encouraged, and praised. There is simply so much to be learned and gained through experiencing recreational opportunities, especially in a rural community that naturally has less to offer. Most importantly, it provides youth positive opportunities and influences to help shape who they become and the opportunity to be active.
